The wildfire burning north of Sooke is now "being held," says BC Wildfire Service.
The Grass Lake fire – first discovered July 14 in the Sea to Sea Regional Park – is estimated to be 1.2 hectares in size.
An update shared by BC Wildfire Service Tuesday evening (July 15) said the wildfire is projected to remain within its current perimeter.
There are currently three attack crews and one helicopter in attendance.
While fire crews continue to respond to the Grass Lake wildfire, the Capital Regional District has closed all trails within a one-kilometre radius.
The fire is suspected to be human caused.
