The 2025 YANA Ride is back from Aug. 1 to 17, and everyone鈥檚 invited to join the fun.
The beloved community-wide event invites riders of all ages, disciplines, and abilities to get active, have fun, and raise funds for Comox Valley families. Whether you ride trails, roads or paths, this is your ride鈥攃hoose when, where, and with whom you ride, all while making a meaningful difference in your community.
You Are Not Alone (YANA) is a local non-profit organization dedicated to easing the financial and emotional burden for families who need to travel outside the Comox Valley for medical treatment for a child or a pregnant mother. When one participates in the YANA Ride, every kilometre you ride and every dollar raised helps ensure that no family faces that journey alone.
Registration is 100 per cent by donation, and every contribution is tax-deductible. Once registered, riders can start logging their rides anytime between Aug. 1 and 17. Choose a challenge that fits your style鈥攖rack your distance, time, number of trails, or even the number of communities you ride through. Riders and teams will be working hard to collect pledges along the way, working towards their fundraising goals and earning entries into exciting prize draws.
鈥淭his year, we鈥檙e putting the spotlight on teamwork because when we come together 鈥� whether with friends, family, or coworkers, not only is it more fun, but the impact we make is even greater,鈥� says YANA鈥檚 executive director, Kelly Barnie. 鈥淲e鈥檙e encouraging riders to form teams and work together toward a collective fundraising goal. Of course, solo riders are always welcome. However you roll, you鈥檒l be helping local families when they need it most.鈥�
The 2025 YANA Ride concludes on Aug. 17, with the Party in the Park at Comox Marina Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All riders, family, friends, and supporters are invited for a joyful afternoon of community celebration featuring live music, a beer garden, activities for all ages, a 50/50 raffle, the golf ball drop, and more.
