St. Goerge鈥檚 presents Dawn to Dawn with $10,433.15 cheque

Every Tuesday, 25 middle-aged Norwegian men take a break from their everyday lives to meet and drink beer, tell bad jokes and sing dirty rock songs. They are rehearsing for their biggest event ever 鈥� warming up for Black Sabbath in front of 10,000 people. There are problems backstage as Ivar, the conductor, is terminally ill, and might not live to experience the concert.

The Comox Valley has already raised $19,185 鈥� 15 per cent of a goal of $121,000 鈥� in the buildup to the annual Coldest Night of the Year Walk. This year will be a virtual event where participants choose when and where to walk from Feb. 12-21.
