City Hall raises Métis flag in recognition of Louis Riel Day

In recognition of Louis Riel Day (Monday, Nov. 16), the City of Courtenay raised the Métis flag at city hall. The flag will fly at city hall the entire week, in honor of Louis Riel and the Metis People of Canada. The local Métis association is the Miki’siw Métis Association and has more than 250 members.
