Polar Bear Swims tend to be a Jan. 1 tradition to ring in the new year.

This past month, the Comox Valley Child Development Association (CVCDA) said farewell to its executive director of the last six years. Joanne Schroeder originally took over the role in June 2014. She has since led the organization through many exciting initiatives and projects. Schroeder has left the CVCDA to get a start on her retirement.
