Christmas gifts delivered to more than 300 seniors over the weekend

A mother and daughter have reunited after 16 years thanks to programs at North Island College鈥檚 Comox Valley campus.

Guided by environmental consultants Current Environmental, the Town of Comox and Brooklyn Creek Watershed Society and undertook a restoration effort last weekend.

Hockey players from the Comox Valley Minor Hockey Association have been giving back to the community this Christmas season, by helping out the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle campaign.

More than 100 volunteers were up bright and early Saturday morning, ensuring Comox Valley families in need were taken care of in time for Christmas.

Last month, when Premier John Horgan was in the Comox Valley to attend the ground-breaking of Ocean Front Village, the Comox Valley鈥檚 new long-term care facility in Courtenay, and to visit 19 Wing Comox, he also took the opportunity to visit Kus-kus-sum.
