Beachcombers Academy has welcomed new principal Roy Sakata who brings 40 years鈥� experience in education as a teacher and principal. He also served five years with the BC Ministry of Education inspection teams, which is how he first came to learn of Beachcombers.

Stephen Hawking鈥檚 biographers document a little-known, but true fact that apart from his hum-drum interest in theoretical physics and the theory of black holes, until he became confined to a wheelchair, one of Stephen Hawking鈥檚 favourite activities was Scottish country dancing. He enjoyed the mental challenges of Scottish country dancing so much that he organized dance evenings at home twice a week and taught friends to dance. And so can you!
