Nick La Riviere Band bringing sounds of New Orleans to the Comox Valley

Tickets are on sale for the Comox Valley Art Gallery’s Fall Film Series, which opens with Wild Rose on Sept. 15 (with a re-screening Sept. 18).

The Georgia Straight Jazz Society presents Thursday night jazz at the Avalanche Bar at 9275 8th St. in Courtenay, featuring the electrifying Astrid Lyre Trio at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 12.

Letz Sing sessions will be operating on a drop-in basis for September. In this new format, there will be an eight-week term beginning in October that the public can sign up for, but until then, Letz Sing will be operating in three usual locations every week and the public can drop-in without signing up.
