Here is a response to the Letter to the Editor: Reader wonders why Aaron Gunn hasn't replied to letters on July 16
As a newly elected Member of Parliament, we are still onboarding staff and opening our second office (the first office in Campbell River opened on July 2).
Since being elected, I have prioritized meeting constituents in person, standing up for the riding in Parliament and prioritizing time-sensitive, departmental-assistance cases (such as those involving the CRA and immigration), while we build up the capacity to respond to all constituent inquiries and feedback in a timely fashion.
Other correspondence, including individual concerns surrounding international conflicts, such as the war in the Middle East, in which Canada is not directly involved, will certainly be addressed in the coming weeks, or as soon as capacity allows.
